Stuffing Tube & Panel Mount Adapters

Foranne Manufacturing Inc.'s SEEPA shield grounding adapters provide 360° grounding of shielded cables. The SEEPA adapter has been field tested and proven to consistently provide shielding effectiveness in the 70-80 db range. The heat-shrinkable weather seal provides an easily installed barrier against harsh maritime environments that cause damaging corrosion.

SEEPA adapters are available in styles compatible with MIL-S-24235 stuffing tubes, NPT pipe threads, and panel connections in sizes to meet all shipboard applications. Standard materials include Plated Aluminum, corrosion stainless steel, and Brass.
NOTE: Special materials, and unique configurations are available upon request.

  • SE (Shielding Effectiveness) SEEPA Technology = 72db nominal performance, installed and field tested (ship-set application), using PCI (Pulse Current Injection) test methods
  • Standard materials include but not limited to Plated Aluminum, Stainless Steel, and Brass

EMPRESS Proven Design

  • Field tested at EMPRESS I and during “At-Sea” Testing of USS ANZIO/EMPRESS II Trial
  • Dockside Testing of SEEPA (PCI Testing) revealed improved performance over legacy hardware
  • Iris Spring provides 360 degree grounding of shielded cable
  • Double spring design increases attenuation of unwanted RF energy
  • Future procurements supporting new construction of surface combatants went with the double spring SEEPA design because of the ease of installation and improved test results

Improved test results = greater margin on performance

Eliminates re-work = value added to installer

  • Split design available for installation without having to remove existing cable (backfit)
  • External weather seal meets or exceeds MIL-DTL-23053

Each SEEPA kit contains:

  • Complete Grounding Adapter of the Specified Size and Style
  • Required Amount of A-A-59313 Anti-seizecompound and Applicator.
  • Abrasive Cleaning Strip
  • Heat Shrinkable Weather Seal Boot
  • Simple Installation Instructions
